BUENOS AIRES Womens Ahkello Witherspoon Jersey , Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli has added three uncapped players to his squad for the team's World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Venezuela.

Independiente right-back Fabricio Bustos, Boca Juniors striker Dario Benedetto and Lanus forward Lautaro Acosta were among four Argentina-based players included by Sampaoli.

The other was veteran River Plate left-back Javier Pinola, who has been capped just twice for the Albiceleste despite making his international debut a decade ago.

The clashes against Uruguay in Montevideo on Thursday and Venezuela in Buenos Aires five days later will be Argentina's first qualifiers under Jorge Sampaoli, who replaced Edgardo Bauza as coach in April.

Argentina are currently fifth in the 10-team South American zone standings, 11 points behind leaders Brazil with four matches remaining.

Only the top four teams will qualify directly for next year's World Cup in Russia while the fifth-ranked side will advance to an inter-continental playoff.

BEIJING, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Beijing has abandoned a plan to rename subway stations after the 32 teams competing in the World Cup in Brazil amid fears that it would confuse passengers, the subway operators said on Tuesday.

To celebrate the soccer's showpiece event which kicks off on Thursday, the Beijing MTR Corportation, which runs subway Line 4 in the Chinese capital, had named 32 stops on Line 4 and its extension after each of the 32 World Cup teams, with the other three stop being named "Fair Play", "Sportsmanship" and "Footballers of the Year".

But some passengers complained on the Internet that the name change could cause confusion as the nameplates which carry the names of the participating teams were just on top of the originals, the MTR said.

"In order to ensure the operational safety and passengers' convenience, and avoid any unnecessary impact on passengers' travel, names of participating teams will no longer appear in the station," the MTR announced on its Weibo account, a Twitter-like social network.

LISBON, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Portugal is hoping its traditional Alentejano singing will be classified as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO at the end of November.

The UNESCO committee will be meeting on Nov. 24 and 28 in Paris to make a final decision on the matter.

In regions of Alentejo in southern Portugal, groups of around 20 or 30 men, but also women, still gather to sing a capella choirs in taverns, their melodic and slow tunes reminiscent of a hard day of work in the countryside. Alentejo singing takes place across the country in numerous public performances.

Portugal seems confident their candidacy will be successful. "The Portuguese government welcomes the positive opinion attributed by UNESCO to the candidacy of Alentejo singing for Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity," Secretary of State for Culture Jorge Barreto Xavier said.

The candidacy for the polyphonic choirs was handed to UNESCO in March last year, and comes after Portugal's fado music, mournful tunes that date back to the 1820s, was recognized as intangible heritage in 2012.

BERLIN, April 23 (Xinhua) -- A new opinion poll shows that a majority of Germans believed the eurozone crisis is far from over, Germany's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported Wednesday.

According to a survey conducted by polling institute INSA, 81 percent of those asked said the European debt crisis was not yet over, while only 7 percent believed the crisis had ended.

The poll said many German citizens were concerned about developments in Greece. Only 34 percent of respondents saw the country on the right track. A further 39 percent said Greece was not making enough efforts to implement reforms.

"For the overwhelming majority of Germans, the crisis is not over yet. The concerns will also have an influence on the upcoming elections to the European Parliament," INSA chief Hermann Binkert was quoted as saying.

You'd never know that even a timid person who succeeds in conquering their fear of public speaking can help in building an influential personality. This is nearly true in almost every aspect of the word, especially when fear is turned around to make room for courage and firmness. Fear sometimes makes folk lose focus or keep track of a good train of tho.
